Hidden Class Impressive In Valuable Keeneland Sales Allowance

Hidden Class | Coady

2nd-Kentucky Downs, $256,000, Alw, 8-31, (R), 2yo, f, 6 1/2fT, 1:17.31, fm, 3 1/4 lengths.
HIDDEN CLASS (f, 2, Catalina Cruiser–Noblame {MSW, $167,023}, by Blame) kicked off her career with a closing second to Gala Brand (Violence) in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden over the Saratoga turf Aug. 3 and did her part here to flatter the form of that rival, who was to take on the boys as a 7-2 shot in the GIII With Anticipation S. later Thursday in upstate New York. Favored at a little better than 3-2 in this allowance restricted to horses sold or bought back at the Keeneland September sale, the two-time Keeneland sales grad secured the perfect spot from third, stalking dueling front-runners as they raced down the side of the track. Pulled out three wide to deliver her challenge off the final corner, Hidden Class took over with a touch less than two furlongs to race and stayed on well to post a soft success in the finish. The winner is the first produce for her dam, a dual stakes winner in West Virginia-bred company who RNAd for $285,000 in foal to Quality Road at KEENOV in 2021 before producing a filly in 2022. Purchased by Doug Arnold at this year's Keeneland January sale, Noblame foaled a colt by Violence and was subsequently covered by Justify. Sales history: $24,000 RNA Ylg '22 KEEJAN; $30,000 Ylg '22 KEESEP; $40,000 2yo '23 OBSAPR. Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0, $166,600. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by FanDuel TV.
